Trevor Petrucci: The Beginning

Trevor Petrucci serves as a dietitian for Carolina Rehabilitation to help people return to full activity through adequate nutrition. He is also a current Sports Dietitian and Strength and Conditioning Coach at Rock Hill High School providing nutritional education and sport-specific programming for approximately 300 athletes. Trevor utlizes his expertise to assess, monitor and educate student athletes through maximizing player performance, reducing injury risk, and optimizing competition readiness at every level. He takes a multidisciplinary-approach with athletes by collaborating with other stakeholders of the sports team to ensure game day readiness.

Trevor graduated from Clemson University in 2021 with a bachelor's degree in Human Nutrition and is now pursuing a Master's Degree at Winthrop University in research on the necessity of multidisciplinary collaboration in sports performance. At Clemson University, Trevor initially began his sports nutrition experience working with Clemson Football Nutrition Department during the 2017-2018 season. This was where he began to see how nutrition can assist student-athletes in their ability to practice and train at their best. Over the next few years, he began working with various collegiate and high school programs by providing individualized nutrition recommendations long term goal implementation for athletic departments. As an athlete himself, Trevor has constantly challenged himself to different performance goals by competing in a variety of event ranging from Crossfit, olympic weightlifting, ruck challenges, spartan races, and half Ironmans.

Trevor is a registered dietitian nutritionist and licensed dietitian (2022), certified Sports Nutritionist from the International Society of ports Nutrition (ISSN, 2021), certified strength and conditioning specialist (NSCA, 2022), and a licensed Level 1 Coach for USA Weightlifting. He was awarded the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Outstanding Dietetic Student Award and serves as a committee member for the upcoming SHPH Spring Symposium.
